Exciting News from the Joint 3R Symposium 2023!

We’re thrilled to announce the winners of the Young Scientist Competition at this year’s Joint 3R Symposium, where innovative ideas and research were celebrated.

Congratulations to you all!

1st PLACE Jury Prize for the Best Oral Presentation:
A huge shoutout to Anouck Thienpont for securing 1st place with her outstanding presentation on “The GENOMARK transcriptomic biomarker: a new approach methodology for qualitative and quantitative genotoxicity assessment of chemicals 

2nd PLACE Jury Prize for the Best Oral Presentation:
Kudos to Karolien Bijnens for earning 2nd place with the abstract “Planarians as an in vivo model for a high-throughput assessment of developmental, neuro- and genotoxicity.” 

3rd PLACE Jury Prize for the Best Oral Presentation:
Hats off to Helia Fernandes for her excellent presentation on “Production of a reusable micro molded microcavity insert to standardize spheroid generation for drug screening.” 

Public Prize for the Best Poster Presentation:
Congratulations to Martijn Heleven for the abstract entitled “Dynamic in vivo processes in planarians as an alternative tool to assess toxicity.” Martijn’s exceptional work has earned the Public Prize for the Best Poster Presentation.
