In 2018, she obtained the PhD in Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology at Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS Pavia discussing a thesis about the relevance of the Nrf2 pathway in neurodegeneration and aging that she studied through the modulation of oxidative stress, inflammation and protein aggregation by nature-inspired new hybrids. Part of the PhD project was carried out in Germany at FAU University of Erlangen-Nuremberg under the supervision of prof. Stephan von Hoersten.
