On 28th-29th November 2022, NILU – Norwegian Institute for Air Research organized the S&T COURSE EVENT 7b “Course on GLP for in vitro nano and genotoxicology, best practices with nanomaterial handling and preparation for testing” online. The course was designed for both – beginners in the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and people already familiar with this system to broaden their knowledge. Information regarding substantial responsibilities in GLP was delivered in a very precise and informative matter, making more complex terms easier to understand.
The interactive form of the course made participants actively involved in resolving problems introduced by organizers. Such presentation was found effective in following the standard operating procedures (SOP) and general GLP study performance activities. In order to find potential gaps in participants’ knowledge, a quiz was conducted and all questions were answered. Moreover, guidelines for handling nanomaterials as well as issues regarding nanotoxicity and nanosafety were addressed.
